Hajer said that proceeds from this year’s event will underwrite the cost of hosting and coordinating the center’s ongoing offer of classes, exhibitions, performances and community events, ensuring that its programs are accessible to all community members regardless of their income level. Last year, funds raised at the aMUSEathon, the center’s virtual gala, enabled the organization to invest in equipment and training needed to bring its classes online, said Hajer, so it could continue offering arts programming to community members near and far during the pandemic. Proceeds from the Muse event support SCC’s arts programming, its community events and performances and its historic building. Live music will be provided by Dave Clark and Louie Perez’ Showcase Band. Dinner is provided by Spread Catering, cocktails by Prohibition Spirits and 3 Badge Beverage Company, and wines from MacRostie, Breathless, Roessler and others. Local celebrity Ellen Toscano will serve as master of ceremonies of the movie premiere-themed Muse party. “Sonoma for the McNeely family has been a joyful and rewarding experience on so many levels.” “The contributions that SCC have made to support and advance the arts and education in our community is why Sonoma is such a desirable place to live,” he said. McNeely told the Index-Tribune he is a honored to selected as the Muse.
